until now... muuah hah hah hah
We made two varieties of won tons: Breakfast Sausage won tons, and Bacon and Eggs won tons.
Breakfast Sausage Won Tons:
Ingredients-
1 lb of breakfast sausage (we used savory sage Bob Evans brand)
1 package of won ton skins (we used a 12 oz pack)
Green Onions
1. Chop up about 4 green onion stalks and mix with the sausage.
2. Spoon a small amount of sausage into the middle of the won ton wrapper and fold as desired.
(Wet two of the four sides and fold the dry half over to the wet half for triangles. Continue by making a crease in the botton of the triangle and bringing the two corners to overlap, sealing with water for a more tra
3. Drop the won tons into 350 degree oil for about 3 minutes, or until cooked through and golden
brown. Let cool before eating.
4. Serve Breakfast Sausage Won Tons with Ranch Dip or country gravy. (We used both and
they are tasty).
Bacon and Eggs Won Tons:
Ingredients-
2 Eggs
4 Rashers of Bacon (we used pre-cooked, but obviously fresh would be better)
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Green Onions
Won Ton Skins
1. Fry up bacon. Remove and cut up into small chunks. Scramble eggs with chopped green onion and bacon bits. Cook through, scrambling the mixture.
2. Let cool then add cheese to keep from melting prematurely.
3. Scoop a small amount of the scrambled egg mixture into the middle of a won ton skin and fold as desired.
4. Deep fry in 350 degree oil for 3 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before eating
5. Serve with ranch dip or country gravy

woo hoo! looks it was a success. :) we'll mos def be trying that recipe!
hmm....i was thinking that sausage (or bacon) + cream cheese + green onions (chives) = might be good. kinda like the wontons with the crab/cream cheese fillings. i might experiment with that one....
ohhhh man, cream cheese sounds like a great idea!!
